WA: WA Liberals could hold key to fourth coalition victory
Federal Liberal vice-president BRUCE MCDONALD says the West Australian Liberal Partycould hold the key to a fourth federal coalition government.
He says the party is more likely to win state government in Western Australia thanin any other state.
He's told the party's state conference in Perth its upcoming preselection of candidatesfor federal seats is critical.
Meanwhile state Liberal leader COLIN BARNETT has told the conference the southern portcity of Bunbury would become Western Australia's second capital city under a major regionaldevelopment program.
Mr BARNETT says at least one major government department would be moved to Bunbury,200 kilometres south of Perth, along with an office of the premier and cabinet.
The West Australian Liberal Party has elected its first woman president at the conference.
DANIELLE BLAIN has defeated KIM KEOGH, who's served in the position for two years.
