Fed: NAB greedy, union chief says
The major union representing bank workers has accused Australia's largest bank of greedover its plans to close dozens of rural branches next week.
The National Australia Bank plans rural branch closures in every state except Tasmaniaas part of its long-awaited strategic review.
Unions have foreshadowed a national protest against NAB's strategy review, which FinanceSector Union National Secretary TONY BECK says is based on greed.
Mr BECK told ABC Radio that NAB is the most profitable bank in the country and yetit is going to cut jobs and services.
