SA: Greens support peaceful anti globalisation protests

The Greens say they are the only political party in Australia supporting the planned
protest at the World Economic Forum in Melbourne next month.

Greens Senator for Tasmania BOB BROWN, speaking in Adelaide after the Greens national
conference, says the right to protest peacefully is a critical part of the way Australian
democracy works.

Senator BROWN says people don't want to see the growing gap between rich and poor with
the boardrooms of the world ruling the world.
