NSW: Former minister Harrison to quit politics
Former New South Wales sports minister GABRIELLE HARRISON has announced she's quittingpolitics to spend more time with her family.
The Member for Paramatta has announced she won't be contesting her seat in the Marchstate election.
Ms HARRISON was elected in a 1994 by-election following the death of the incumbent-- her husband ANDREW ZIOLKOWSKI.
She's denied her decision has anything to do with being sued by a former electoratesecretary over working conditions.
She's told ABC radio that she's just had enough of politics and wants to spend moretime with her family.
Ms HARRISON -- who remarried earlier this year -- says she's relieved to have madethe decision to quit.
She's denied that there's been any pressure from the Labor Party to quit politics,saying her colleagues had tried to dissuade her from leaving.
