Qld: Three dead in road accident

Two children and a teenage woman have been killed in a crash on the Cunningham Highway
in south-eastern Queensland.

Police say a Mitsubishi Sigma wagon carrying three women and five children left the
highway near Karara, about 30 kilometres west of Warwick, at around 5.20am (AEST) and
rolled over.

They say the vehicle was travelling into Queensland from country New South Wales.

Police earlier said two vehicles had collided and that three children were dead.

Five people were taken to the Warwick Hospital, including three other children from the car.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman says among those hospitalised were a 17-year-old
woman with a broken leg and head injuries and a 24-year-old woman with a broken leg and
suffering from shock.

Police say the driver of the vehicle is one of the injured women.
